A thriving and dynamic secondary school located in the heart of Devizes, Wiltshire, is currently seeking a dedicated School Site Manager to join its team from September 2024. This pivotal role is integral to the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of school buildings and grounds.
*Manage the cleaning team to ensure all areas of the school are maintained to high standards.
*Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
*Manage contractors and external agencies related to premises maintenance and security.
*Develop and maintain emergency plans and procedures, including fire drills and safety inspections.
*Supervise the security arrangements of the school premises to ensure the safety of all school users.
*Manage budgets relating to site maintenance and development.
*Lead projects for minor building work and refurbishments.
*Coordinate the use of school facilities for extracurricular and community activities.

Requirements:
*Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
*Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement these effectively.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Competence in basic IT systems (e.g., MS Office) and the ability to manage systems for facility maintenance.
*Flexibility to deal with out-of-hours emergencies and activities.
*A commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
*Enhanced DBS check clearance.
