About the Role:
As a History Teacher att this Special School, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students who have autism, ADHD, and social and emotional mental health needs. While a formal teaching qualification is not required, a solid understanding of the history subject and a genuine interest in working with students with diverse learning profiles are essential. You will play a crucial role in creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a supportive learning environment, and tailoring your teaching approach to meet the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons that are accessible and engaging for students with varied learning needs.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse abilities and learning styles of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide holistic support for students' academic and social development.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of the history subject.
