An Ofsted rated GOOD secondary school in Bicester, Oxfordshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art and Design Technician to join their permanent staff from September 2024. The successful candidate will support the Art and Design department, ensuring the smooth operation of the curriculum and contributing to an enriching learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare and maintain art materials, tools, and equipment for classes.
*Assist teachers and students during lessons, offering technical support and guidance.
*Manage the inventory of art supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering.
*Maintain cleanliness and organization in the art studios and storage areas.
*Assist in setting up exhibitions and displays of student work.
*Provide support for extra-curricular activities and art projects.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the department.

Requirements:
*A passion for Art and Design and a commitment to supporting student learning.
*Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a school environment.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Familiarity with a range of art materials and techniques.
*Basic IT skills and experience with design software is an advantage.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to multitask.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
